Is it possible for children and their teachers to really come together as a collective and make choices that will benefit everyone’s development without giving up their sense of individuality? I can show that it is. Educating children in how to do this may well be the most fundamental thing we should be teaching today. Furthermore it would not only enable us come together on a global level to tackle the important challenges that will certainly face us in the coming decade, but it would also create an important stepping stone for what could be possible well into the future.

In 2004 I made an observation. As I observed each child who entered the room it became apparent that there was no concept of community, togetherness or sense of higher purpose. The children were so self-centered in their behaviour that no one was actually caring about learning or creating a positive learning environment. Hours of precious teaching and learning time were spent on transitions from one subject or place to another or redirecting behaviour and attention. So what is the solution?

It’s actually quite simple and yet very subtle. Helping people come together for a higher purpose with focused awareness and intention is not so much about conflict management as it is about raising consciousness. Quoting President Obama, “Because it is only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you will realize your true potential.”

Creating Dynamic Development and Harmony does just that. It offers you a creative, exciting, realistic and concrete way to help children and adults connect to something bigger than themselves.
